How to customize your templates
1. Make sure you have the “marketplace” custom domain
Our custom domain templates are made specifically for the free, “marketplace” version of custom domains.
Don’t know if you’ve upgraded? If your custom domain has a search bar, you have the marketplace version. If you need to upgrade, please click “Upgrade to Marketplace” on your “Domain details” page.
2. Select and download your templates
We’ve designed 5 unique templates that include customizable .psd files for card images, storefront banners, and homepage banners. Select a template that best fits your unique brand.
3. Open your template file in Photoshop and view the layers
Once you open your files in Photoshop, make sure the “Layers” panel is open. If it isn’t showing, click Windows > Layers.
4. Replace the sample text with your own text
To edit your text, select the “Horizontal Type tool” (looks like a capital T) and click once on the sample text to select. Replace the sample text with your new text and even change the style of the font if desired.
5. Add your custom artwork
1. Find the layer “Artwork (double click)”
2. Double click on the checkerboard box found on this layer
3. A new window will open — this is where you place your image
4. To place an image, go to File > Place linked > Place
5. If you wish to resize your image, click Edit > Free transform (hit enter when complete)
6. Turn off the layer visibility of any unnecessary layers (click the eye to turn on/off)
7. Save your edits (File > Save) and return to original tab for the results
6. Change the product color
Turn on the “Black shirts,” “White shirts,” or “Colored shirts” layers depending on which product you’d like to feature. To change the color of the shirt, turn on the “Colored shirts” layer and double click on the white box in the layer named “Change color.”
7. Change the background
Turn on the “Black shirts,” “White shirts,” or “Colored shirts” layers depending on which product you’d like to feature. To change the color of the shirt, turn on the “Colored shirts” layer and double click on the white box in the layer named “Change color.”
